Cocks Moors Woods Aikido offers traditional Aikido training in a relaxed, friendly setting – helping students of all ages and abilities build strength, awareness and confidence both on and off the mat.

About Aikido

Aikido is a non-competitive Japanese self defense martial art that emphasizes blending with an attack rather than meeting force with force. Training develops coordination, awareness, confidence, and calm under pressure.

Who Can do it?

Whether you are completely new to martial arts or have prior experience, you are welcome.

  • Adults / Teens / Children (6 years old min)
  • No special fitness level required
  • Beginners encouraged

Your first classes focus on fundamentals, movement, and learning at a comfortable pace.

Class information

Classes have run at Cocks Moors Woods Leisure Centre in the Main Sports Hall for over 40 years.  We run a non profit making dojo which is supported by experienced instructors who give their expertise voluntarily.

Beginners

No need to book

Just come, look and have a go.

  Come in comfortable clothing, open minded and a willingness to learn.
