JAC Aikido Course – Bringing Organisations Together

We are delighted to welcome aikidoka from across different organisations and dojos for a special JAC Aikido Course, providing an opportunity to come together, train, learn and share our experiences on the mat.

The course will feature Guest Instructor Sensei John Emmerson, 6th Dan, from The Kodokwai in South Shields, and Head of the international organisation D.A.N – Dynamic Aikido Nocquet.

Sensei Emmerson has been practising Aikido since 1964, bringing over six decades of experience and knowledge to his teaching. Throughout his long Aikido journey, he has played an active role in teaching both in the UK and internationally, regularly travelling abroad to teach and taking many courses each year.

This promises to be a fantastic opportunity for practitioners of all levels to train under an experienced and highly respected instructor, while also enjoying the benefits of different organisations coming together to practise Aikido.

Whether you are a long-standing practitioner or newer to Aikido, everyone is welcome. Come along, train hard, learn something new and enjoy the spirit of friendship and cooperation that makes Aikido such a rewarding martial art

Refreshments & Lunch

There will fresh fruit and drinking water available between sessions to help keep everyone refreshed.

We recommend that participants bring a packed lunch, although food and hot drinks can also be purchased from the leisure centre café.

Staying Overnight?

If you’re travelling from further afield and need somewhere to stay, there is a Travelodge at Maypole, approximately 5 minutes from the dojo. It’s a convenient option for anyone wanting to stay locally before or after the course.
